Speech delay is the most common type of developmental delay. A child not paying attention to other people and not responding to sounds is one of the first warnings of possible speech delay. He was diagnosed with apraxia, hypotonia and cognitive delay. He is 5’’10” now. He is a pure sweet soul. Outgoing but difficult to understand sometimes. He is basically on a kindergarten level. He might not know what 2 + 6 = but he remembers the presidents of thr united states or peoples birthdates or the purse my MIL wore at a wedding 10 years ago.
Any advice? I am a complete newbie at this and would appreciate any info. Thank you.
