Speech delay is the most common type of developmental delay. A child not paying attention to other people and not responding to sounds is one of the first warnings of possible speech delay. My son is 4 years 8month old and was delay in speech. In April 23, the pediatrician diagnosed as Autism as sometimes he isn’t answering of we calling him during play time. He is able to use some words even though he singing rhymes too but he is unable to make sentences/communication properly. He gets irritated sometimes and having repetitive behavior, don’t like to mingle with other kids too.
