Goiter refers to abnormal enlargement of thyroid gland. The thyroid gland produces two major hormones, T3 and T4. These hormones control the metabolism process in the body. In goiter, the thyroid hormones may remain normal or they may increase or decrease. The main cause of goiter is iodine deficiency. Other causes are thyroiditis, grave’s disease, hashimotos’s disease, nodules in goiter (solitary nodule, multinodular goiter). My name is Jill Fernandes and I have multi thyroid nodules and non-toxic goiter. I want to try and shrink it naturally. I have read your information and find it very interesting. Since my goiter is non-toxic and have been tested for cancer and turned out benign my doctor is not aggressive at trying to shrink my goiter. Hello Dr. Sharma. I have a very large multi modular goiter, of which the left half has been removed. My hormone levels are always normal, so I have never been dx as hyper nor hypo, but I’m now at the point to where the thyroid is pressing on my airway , and sometimes have difficulty swallowing. I have two thyroid nodules/Goiter since last six months and i am facing breathing issue when move and sleep.
Before six month when i eat pineapple my throat/Nick was swollen and after that same thyroid nodules was accords.
