Top 6 Homeopathic Medicines for Ringworm

Ringworm also called dermatophytosis or Tinea refers to ring-shaped red patchy lesions on the skin caused by a fungal infection. Ringworm infection is quite common and is very contagious (spreads via direct skin-to-skin contact with a person suffering from this infection).

Homeopathy for ringworm provides effective treatment and a complete cure for ringworm infection. Homeopathic medicines for ringworm help clear the infection completely. These are natural medicines that help in healing the rash and providing relief from the symptoms of itching and burning. Generally, antifungal ointments/lotions or creams are being used in mainstream medicine to treat ringworm. Though they clear the skin lesions quite rapidly, they do not offer cure as the fungal infection is not rooted out, so there are chances that the ringworm lesion may come again and again. But on the other hand, the homeopathic remedies for ringworm not only help in providing relief from acute ringworm symptoms but also help in eradicating the disease in its entirety by fighting the infection and eliminating it from the body.

Homeopathic medicines help to cure ringworm in the most gentle and efficient way. The best results are incurred through properly selected homeopathic remedies that stimulate the natural healing mechanism of the body to fight the infection. There is no chance of suppression of ringworm infection in homeopathy.

Homeopathic medicines also play an important role in reducing recurrent ringworm infection by strengthening the immune system. To achieve this, a proper course of homeopathic treatment must be taken for a few months as prescribed by a homeopathic physician.

Homeopathic medicines to treat ringworm are 100% safe to use in persons of all age groups as they have zero side effects. Homeopathic medicines are used in highly diluted doses that can never cause any toxic effects.

Top 6 Homeopathic Medicines For Ringworm

Sepia, Tellurium, Sulphur, Antimonium Crudum, Silicea and Mezereum are the top remedies for ringworm treatment.

1. Sepia – Top Most Remedy

Sepia tops the chart of homeopathic medicines to treat ringworm infection. The most characteristic feature to use it is ring-shaped patches on the skin appearing in isolated spots (two different ring lesions have no contact with each other). This medicine can be given for ringworm appearing on any body part. The common places where ringworm appears are the bends of the knee and elbow. The eruptions are accompanied by itching and scratching, though scratching does not provide any relief. There may be increased sweating with or without bad smell in persons requiring sepia. Another peculiar symptom for using sepia is the recurrence of ringworm infection every spring season.

The eruptions are accompanied by itching and scratching, though scratching does not provide any relief. Increased sweating with or without bad smell may be noticed in persons requiring Sepia. Another peculiar symptom for using Sepia is the recurrence of ringworm infection every spring season. 6. Hi Dr. Sharma, thanks for explaining the remedies in depth. I hv the lesion on my leg, right in the fold of the left knee. It seemed as though the lesion spread & the smaller lesion inside the large one is more red & prominent & is not going away. I do not want to use the topical cream my doctor gv me & think Psorinum is the remedy for me minus the lesions in the scalp -im praying not!. Outside of the homeopathic remedies, can we apply any topical such as teatree oil, garlic, tumeric, vinegar, etc; . And most importantly do u recommend “Covering the Lesion”.

  7. I noticed a small pink ring on the side of my trunk about elbow high, about a year ago. I ignored it thinking it was a food allergy and would go away. About a month ago, I noticed it is 3 times as large as it was. It has never itched or burned, and this is the only time I’ve ever had ringworm (confirmed by my doctor that it is ringworm). I bought some Lotrimin Anti-fungal Ringworm Cream, which I have used 1-3x per day since July 1st with minimal, if any, improvement. Is sepia the right product for this? Thank you.

    • My husband has stiffness in his knees after sitting. This has increased in intensity and recently he had great pain when standing up after sitting. He was told he has mild arthritis and crystals in his knee joints. Is there a homeopathic cure for this?

  8. Jeremy Sherr mentions that Bacillinum is the best remedy for ringworm.

  9. Hi Kayla, if you are scratching please is t if you are bathing try to avoid rubbing the lesions with your towel dab those area with antibacterial soap and water and put sulphur 8 or emuiad on in constantly until it disappears. It’s a fungus easily spread if you scratched with your nails which is a absolutely no no cut your nails off the infections can stay especially if you’re not washing your hands thoroughly as suppose… I have one on my leg now got it from daughter which she got from my sisters around being around her dog… she has multiple ringworms in her head now I’m treating it with head and shoulders shampoo or sulphur 8 and greasing her scalp with the two I suggested to you sulphur 8 or emuaid use until it disappears so far her lesions are drying out slowly and be sure everything you touch with those lesions wash thorough if you have to put a capful of Clorox in your laundry do so to kill the fungus and cut your sweets don’t know what good that will do but the healthier the body the better the immunity to fighting off infections hope this helps God Bless…

  10. Hello, I have had ringworm for quite some time on my stomach. It recently spread farther out and up underneath my chest. Today I noticed it is on my back neck and scalp. I am unsure if my nails are effected but it is possible as the tips are wavy recently. I am currently taking colostrum, beef heart, liver, brain, trachea, bone marrow, tallow, fish eggs, vitamin c, zinc, and magnesium spray. I have high anxiety and am constantly under distress the last 4 months which in this time frame is when it has begun to spread past the original infection. I’m currently working on healing my gut health and am hoping to avoid western medication.

  11. Brent Wilson says:

some 6 years ago i suffered large ringworm patches on my legs and treated it with somekind over the counter cream which was my only option at the time. when my emotional and diet habits came under control the symptoms faded out of sight but my thumb nails and toenails are now mildly misformed and a naturalpath said it was caused by fungas, so, Im guessing that there is still some remaining affects of the ringworm/fungis, internally, from the years back.
based on this story, Im convinced the naturalpath Dr is correct about a “fungis” infection and I would like to treat this with interanal homeopathic medicine rather than the topical nail fungis approach
    Please advise
