Those receiving homeopathic medicines showed significantly more improvement than those given placebos. The homoeopathic medicines found most helpful for ADHD were Stramonium, Cina and Hyoscyamus Niger. Stramonium was specifically indicated when children had many fears, or suffered symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. The children who were physically aggressive benefited the most from Cina, and, children with manic or sexualised symptoms responded favourably to Hyoscyamus Niger

Can all hyperactive children be lumped together under one diagnostic category? Can a child, who lashes out in a violent manner at his family members and peers, fit into the same diagnostic group as a sweet gregarious one who simply cannot pay attention to the work in the class? A homoeopath would say that both temperaments are as different as day and night and would prescribe very different medicines. Individualisation stands as a key point in homeopathic treatment.

Hello Dr. Sharma, my son is 12YO and was diagnosed with ADHD at age 7. He is extremely hyperactive – more than any other child I’ve seen – and we have had him on Adderall, Concerta, Vyvanse, and Intuniv but we couldn’t avoid sleep issues, appetite issues, etc. We finally took him off all pharmacological medications when his height seemed to be effected. He gets angry but he is not violent.
We took him to a Naturopath who prescribed a variety of remedies: fish oil, multivitamin, probiotic, and two homeopathic remedies. We didn’t see any change. I found Focus Formula and Bright Spark online and asked the naturopath about it and she recommended the Focus Formula. We had him on Bright Spark with the Focus Formula but took that out several months ago since it didn’t seem to be doing any good. We have continued the Focus Formula but we’re seeing virtually no improvement in his hyperactivity or focus. It does seem to act as a mood stabilizer, though.
We are extremely frustrated and would appreciate guidance on other products we can try. He is a good kid but with his lack of focus and his hyperactivity, he’s not as successful socially or academically as he could be.
