Best Homeopathic Medicines for PTSD

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a serious psychological condition which occurs in people who have undergone some terrifying stressful trauma (for example, sexual assault, road accident, domestic violence). Most people who face a traumatic experience undergo fear, anxiety, shock, and nervousness. These are the common reactions in response to stressful events and do not usually result in PTSD. If anxiety or the stressful condition persists for more than a month and hinders social functioning, then it is indicative of PTSD.

The main symptoms of PTSD are flashbacks of horrifying events in the past, nightmares, and hallucinations. Patients with PTSD want to be left alone and are indifferent to life. Disturbed sleep and difficulty in concentration are also common complaints of PTSD. Homeopathic treatment for PTSD helps remove the imprints of trauma and brings about natural recovery.

Homeopathy remedies are made up of natural substances and are very safe. The advantage of homeopathy treatment for PTSD is that it does not make a person dependent. Homeopathy cures the person without any side effects. These natural remedies do not slow down the body’s natural processes and make it dull, as might be the case with other treatments.

Personality traits inherited from parents

How the chemicals and hormones released during stress is being regulated by brain

Though not everyone who has faced any event like the above develop PTSD because everyone handles stress differently but such incidents increased PTSD risk

3. It has been observed that persons who have PTSD have small Hippocampus (a part of the brain which controls memory and emotions) but it is not clear whether their hippocampus is already small before trauma or it shrinked following trauma. It requires further research for clarification.

4. Stress levels may be abnormal in persons having PTSD that leads to excited fight or flight response.

  1. Jamie Henderson says:

    Dear Dr. Sharma:

My husband was killed when the tour bus (he was a musician) went off a cliff in CA in 2019. He’d been in this business for 40 years, never had anything of this nature taken place. We’d been married 42 years. It’s been almost 5 years this September. This month is David’s birthday. I’ve lost my entire family, am housebound, suffered a heart attack and stroke and have a laundry list of other maladies which came about prior to my husband’s death. I do not drive.

Can you please help me? What has gone in the world since his death has only exasperated all of the above.

    Thank you, Sir.

  2. Hi there!
I believe I have long-term C-PTSD and I’m perimenopausal which is making everything worse. I’d love some direction if possible. My main symptoms are an irregular cycle, cramps, extremely low tolerance to stress (triggered by work especially), fatigue, headaches, depression, irritability, brain fog and anxiety (phobias like flying and being around crowds). I’d love some input.

    Thanks in advance!

  3. Hello,
My husband is a vet and is suffering from PTSD I also feel with a bit of survivors guilt. He has explained to me he is just tired of everything so has suicidal thoughts but is strong enough not to take his life. Says he has a void and it’s just empty . He also has done an emotional affair with an extra step to that with a fellow vet via texting/calling. He has stopped that since I have found out so he is self sabotaging.
He doesn’t want regular meds they made him feel off. But is willing to try natural remedies.

We are in counseling but he doesn’t like talking about just himself.

    Please help
    Thank you

    Dr. Sharma,
My son is suffering from epilepsy and condition worsened over the last 3 years. We have been doing homeopathy treatment along with allopathy. However unable to get a hold of his situation.
    Can you help.

  7. Theresa ioane-Vierra says:

Hi Dr. Sharma. I am reading your article about PTSD and the different types of homeopathic remedies for it. My son (18) and I both suffer from depression and anxiety. I have PTSD from the military, and I’m getting treated by the VA. However, I want to look into homeopathy as a solution for me and my boy. My son was diagnosed with ADHD when he was around 4 or 5 years old. He was on meds for a few years but I took him off of it because I didn’t like what I saw with my son. He wouldn’t eat; he wouldn’t be his normal joyful self; he was a zombie! And I didn’t want that for him. Anyway he’s had trouble all his life in school, home, and any setting he was in that required him to maintain some composure and or concentration, etc to complete basic tasks. He excelled at sports and video games but that was about it. Nowadays he’s a very stubborn 18-year old child who is always angry and easily annoyed. He doesn’t like to leave the house (his tv and electronic devices) even to see family or friends. I need help! He’s not under any care. I don’t know who to trust with my son’s health and mine.
